hustlers grab your guns
This American Life is already, in my view, the logical center of existence, but this week's episode has got me hyped. In addition to three amazing segments (David Rakoff learns how to watch TV, Sarah Vowell recounts popular sitcoms' treatment of Thanksgiving, Dan Savage worries that the Disney Channel will fuck up his son's view of the world), there is a short piece consisting of Ira Glass (my goddamn hero) talking about how much he loves The O.C. That's right. And then, as if that weren't enough to make my day/possibly month, Mates of State sing "California."
The best episode of This American Life ever? I mean, maybe not, but it was pretty great.
